Achieve a sustainable last-minute commute with digitized car lot management

Anyone who’s used to daily car commutes has at one point met the challenges of finding available parking space in busy morning traffic. And besides being time consuming and frustrating, the last-mile commute especially challenges the ambitions to create a greener drive in areas with heavy urban road congestion. To tackle this, Wayleadr and MapsPeople have entered a strategic partnership with the aim of achieving a greener last-mile commute and optimizing drivers’ daily journeys to work. With Wayleadr’s trusted parking management system and MapsPeople’s dynamic mapping platform, MapsIndoors, the partnership will digitize car lot management and take the guesswork out of the last mile of the commuter conundrum.

“At Wayleadr, we firmly believe that employees need a new way to get to work and the planet needs a new way to move forward. Hybrid work today has given digital workplace leaders a glimpse into the future of work tomorrow and last-mile automation plays a key role in this transformation. Partnering with MapsPeople allows us to truly optimize the last mile of commuters’ journeys. Our combined solution delivers dynamic mapping and real time space allocation, allowing users to navigate easily to their destination, and helping to reduce their carbon footprint and save them time,” says Val Cassidy, Head of Partnerships & Integrations at Wayleadr.

The MapsIndoors platform integrated with Wayleadr’s parking management system empowers drivers with the ability to be assigned parking spaces based on the estimated time of arrival and space availability as well as directions to their allocated spot using custom maps of the car lot. At the same time, the solution enables users to feed information to barrier systems to ensure that only people with bookings can access the parking lot.

Sustainability is key in the future of urban planning and optimization for drivers. With the joint solution, the greener choice becomes the easy choice with reduced time spent searching for parking spots and the option to offer guaranteed charging stations for commuters’ e-vehicles.

“With this partnership, MapsPeople is entering the industry of parking management, and we are excited to join Wayleadr in committing to a more sustainable last-mile commuter journey,” states Nicola McRae-Bøgeskov, Partner Marketing Manager at MapsPeople.
